Mahya Fani

Ph.D. Student and Research Assistant

Mahya Fani is a Ph.D. student and a research assistant at the DeSmart Lab. She is interested in interdisciplinary approaches to improve health and wellbeing outcomes during the design process. Her research works focus on understanding the relationship between the built environment and health outcomes, human-light interactions, biological effects of light, integrated (day)lighting systems, and human-centric design. Prior to joining ASU, she graduated with a master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) Tehran, Iran.
